James Hong serves as a senior instructional designer for New lines Institute. He has over 10 years of experience in designing and instructing curriculum from K-12 to higher education, including master’s level degree programs. James specializes in STEM education and online learning. He has contributed to publications on leveraging AI for modeling feedback, integration of the Next Generation Science Standards and computational models in upper elementary classrooms, and piloting and implementing field experiences in online instruction for pre-service and in-service teachers.
James has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He also has extensive experience working with and supporting professors in online instruction and research.
