Hiba Ismeail serves as the Director of Curriculum Development and Instructional Design at FXUA. She is an award-winning learning professional with 10+ years of experience. Hiba is passionate about making a positive impact via engaging learning experiences. She specializes in instructional design, blended learning, eLearning, curriculum development, learning technologies, microlearning, and social media for learning. Prior to joining FXUA, Hiba supported a wide range of international development, nonprofit, corporate, defense, and federal learning environments. She holds a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Certification Institute. Hiba also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Instructional Design and Technology, as well as an e-Learning Graduate Certificate, from George Mason University.

Hasan works at FXUA as an IT Support Specialist. He got his BIT( Bachelors of Information Technology) foundation from Holborn college, London, UK.  Graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Fairfax University of America, USA.

He has hands on experience in deep software and network troubleshooting. RAW/RAID data recovery expertise and programming knowledge on C#, HTML, JAVA & SQL.

His primary responsibilities are to co-ordinate, plan and lead computer related activities with the IT team and managing the helpdesk.

Currently, Hasan is pursuing his Executive Masters in Information Technology at University of the Cumberlands moving forward towards PHD in Information Systems besides his career.

Glen Habbershaw

Glen Habbershaw holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Oklahoma City University. He earned his CELTA from Cambridge University at the Berlin School of English in Berlin, Germany. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Oklahoma City University.

Additionally, Glen earned a certificate of advanced level of French while studying at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. Also, he spent time studying Spanish at Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericana in Rosario, Argentina.

Glen taught English for three years and French for two years in Japan while on the JET Programme. He has been an instructor of adult students in various institutes and universities in the United States, and has several years of teaching experience in middle school. He is member of the Washington, DC Area Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Association (WATESOL) and TESOL International Association.

Bayarjargal Battulga

Bayarjargal Battulga joined Fairfax University of America as an Operations, Facilities and Property Manager in August 2015 and was promoted to Director of Operations, Facilities and Property Management in June 2016. In this role, he provides direction, oversight and operation management for facilities and property maintenance; campus development and construction; campus security; transportation and parking; information services; and food service. Additionally, Mr. Battulga provides general accounting support to the university subsidiary entity.

Previously, Mr. Battulga was the Financial Manager at Hera Equipment LLC, a heavy duty equipment sales and service company in Mongolia. Prior to joining Hera Equipment LLC, he worked as a Financial Controller for TWB Drilling Ltd, a multinational core drilling company in the mining industry.

Mr. Battulga earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the National University of Mongolia, School of Economic Studies and his MBA degree in International Finance from Fairfax University of America.

Ahmed Alwani

Dr. Ahmed Alwani is the founder and president of Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy and its parent institution, Fairfax University of America (FXUA). He is a businessman based in northern Virginia with investments in the poultry, real estate, and education/training sectors.

Like many children of immigrants, Dr. Alwani wants to give back to his adopted country and has a desire to help improve the human condition. He earned his initial degree in mechanical engineering and began his career at a major engineering firm in Baltimore, Maryland, in the late 1980s, but Dr. Alwani’s heart has always been in educational innovation and helping people realize their professional potential. It is this passion that led him to become an entrepreneur after many years in industrial operations and management.

Driven by what he refers to as universal values of peace, character, development, stewardship, and community, Dr. Alwani invested his time and resources in the cause of academia, obtaining a doctorate in human resource development. Over the past decade, Dr. Alwani focused on establishing institutions of learning and research. FXUA and Newlines Institute represent his life’s work toward promoting prosperity at home in the United States and abroad through learning and research.

Dr. Alwani also serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including the Washington Theological Consortium (a community of theological schools of diverse Christian traditions, with partners in education, spirituality, and interfaith dialogue) and Fairfax Educational Foundation. In 2018, Dr. Alwani became vice president of the International Institute of Islamic Thought, a Virginia-based nonprofit organization that focuses on educational advancement in Muslim societies, a legacy he inherited from his father, who co-founded the institute in the 1980s.

He has served as a member of the advisory board of the U.S. military’s Africa Command. Dr. Alwani has also been a board member of the higher education committee of the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission and a commissioner for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. Dr. Alwani currently serves as vice president of York Foundation and Reston Investments, LLC, and as the president of Heritage Education, Inc.

Dr. Alwani earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from Virginia Tech (2014) and has a Master’s in Engineering Administration from George Washington University (1990).

As an adjunct faculty I have taught at North Virginia Community college and Strayers University. I have also worked as Senior Instructor in the Education Department of Sybase Inc. (Now SAP Inc.) where I taught courses on Database design, performance and tuning, Data Replication, Database management and administration of relational databases. I have also delivered training to corporate DBAs on Sybase IQ, a data warehouse product. I am certified Database Professional and SQL Developer.

I am teaching courses on Data warehouse, Data mining, Business Intelligence and Database security and Data Protection.

Administration of Sybase ASE servers of 12.5 and 15.0.3 versions and Replication Servers with warm standby as well as adhoc replication including function string replication. Resolving data discrepancy issues in contingency servers. Upgraded ASE servers to 15.0.3 esd4 and Replication servers to RS 15.2. Participated in Data recovery exercise (Fail-over and Fail-back). Tuning ASE and Replication servers for optimal performance.   • Oversight of ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance to include coordination and monthly review of project estimates to complete, estimated revenue projections, and other project performance metrics to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Act as functional lead in ongoing Oracle / Costpoint process improvement efforts including scheduling activities, resource communication, business technology interface, testing, and other activities to ensure coordination of business requirements and technology improvements.
  • Coordinate implementation of best practice applications including dashboard and other digital capital tools, organizational restructuring initiatives, business process and procedural improvement initiatives, and staff training.

  • Coordinate business development, staffing, and proposal efforts related to consulting practice initiative implemented at the Headquarters level.
  • Responsible for the identification of, proposal coordination and development, subcontractor alliance, pricing, negotiation and administration of multimillion dollar Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Certification contract award by the United States Small Business Administration.
  • Provide direct support to clients in the achievement of SDB status via application preparation services including disadvantaged narrative research and preparation.
  • Provide consulting assistance to mid-sized firms in numerous operating and administrative areas including pre-audit assistance, indirect rate reviews and labor floorcheck audits.
  • Support Corporate functional areas in activities such as DCAA audit responses, preparation of multimillion dollar termination for convenience claim and other specialized activities.
  • Responsible for review and negotiation of all facility leases, office relocations and related matters for 20 offices nationwide.
