Fairfax University of America does not provide health insurance. Students are expected to acquire and pay for their own health insurance.
International students must be covered by health insurance which meets the US Government visa requirements, State of Virginia requirements, and Fairfax University of America requirements. Be sure that your insurance plan begins at least five days before the program start date and extends at least five days past the program end date to cover travel periods.

Bring a copy of ALL prescriptions for medicines, eyeglasses, and contact lenses with you. For international students, any prescriptions should be written in English.
Fairfax University of America is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted within 50 feet (16 meters) of any university facility. The Fairfax County Health Department offers resources to those interested in quitting smoking.
